Journal, Research and filters.
Find your entries, search for text, and use the filters to quickly return to what you've chosen to keep.
Your Notebook saves. You should be able to find it.
The «Journal» tab contains the entries you’ve published. It serves as a place to revisit the thoughts, decisions, reflections, and moments you’ve chosen to preserve.
You can browse recent posts directly or use the search and filters when looking for something specific.
Each card restores guidelines.
The cards in the notebook provide a variety of information to help you identify an entry before you even open it.
Title and Date
The title, if there is one, and the date make it possible to quickly place the entry in time.
Mood and Condition
These markers indicate the associated mood and whether the entry is Open, Closed, or Pending Review.
File and Overview
The file and a preview of the text help you identify the content before opening it.
You will then see its contents as well as the actions available based on its status.
Search in your entries.
If you know a few words related to what you're looking for, use the Notebook search.
The search field is located in the Notebook tab.
Use words that you remember having used in the entry.
Combine your search with "File," "Status," or "Mood" to narrow down the results.
Tap the corresponding entry to view its content.
Three filters can be combined.
Filters let you narrow down the list when your Address Book contains many entries.
Show only entries that are filed in a specific folder.
Limit the view to entries that are Open, Closed, or Pending Review.
Find posts associated with a particular mood.
For example, you can search for text while limiting the results to a specific folder and mood.
An active filter may obscure other elements.
When a search or filter is active, some sections of the Notebook may no longer appear.
This applies in particular to time capsules and «A Thought from Before.».
If you can't find one of these items, first return to the view without a search or filter.
Organize to Improve find again later.
The folder for an entry is selected when it is finalized. It then serves as an additional reference in your Notebook.
Use the «Folder» filter to narrow the list to entries that belong to a specific topic.
The menus in this version do not allow you to create, rename, or delete folders. Select one of the suggested folders or «No Folder» when finalizing your entry.
The list and content may appear together
On an iPad, select an entry in the left column to view its content in the right pane.
This layout makes it possible to make better use of the available space on wider screens.
The Notebook Adapts to the available width.
The iPad presentation can display the list of entries and their details side by side.
Depending on the orientation, the size of the window, or the actual available space, the layout may also resemble that of the iPhone.
An old entrance may come back to you.
When auto-reposting is enabled, an older entry may appear at the top of the Journal under «A Thought from Before.».
Tap it to read it again and, when its status allows it, add a continuation.
The entry has not been deleted.
The cross simply hides this highlight for the current session.
The entry remains in your Notebook.
If a reminder were associated with this thought, closing it would also cancel that reminder.
Recharge the contents of the Notebook.
Use the circular arrow at the top of the Notebook to refresh the displayed information.
Refresh the list
The latest data from your entries is being reloaded.
Reload the previous thought
The Log also checks the availability of a previously highlighted entry.
Refresh the capsules
Information related to your time capsules is also updated.
If an error persists, check your Internet connection and then click «Retry» when the app prompts you to do so.
Preserving is useful. Finding your way east is just as important.
