Safety and profile.
Protect access to your Notebook on your device, set up your profile, and manage your session from the «Me» tab.
Your account can remain logged in. Your Notebook may remain locked.
Locking the app adds local protection on the device you're using.
When this protection is enabled, Face ID or your device passcode is required to access the contents of the Address Book.
This security measure is separate from the password you use to log in to your account.
Enable «Lock the Notebook.».
This option prevents the Notebook's contents from being opened on the device where you enable it.
Next, go to the «Security» section.
Use the switch provided to activate this protection.
Confirm the authentication request on your iPhone or iPad.
Exit the app and then reopen it to check that the unlock feature is working properly.
The content remains hidden until it unlocks.
When protection is enabled, Le Carnet uses the authentication method provided by your device, such as Face ID or the device passcode.
During this step, the contents of your Notebook remain hidden.
A notification received by the app does not bypass this protection.
Just try unlocking it again.
If you cancel authentication or if recognition fails, try unlocking the device again.
Then use the options provided by your device.
If the security option is unavailable, check the Face ID and passcode settings on your device.
Three elements Not to be confused with.
Password
It is used to log in to your Le Carnet account and is separate from the app's local security settings.
Face ID or passcode
They are used by your device to verify your identity when the Notebook lock is enabled.
PIN
The PIN for the Notebook is a separate setting. It does not replace either your account password or your device passcode.
Configure a four-digit PIN.
You can set up your PIN by going to «Me» and then «Security.».
Access the setting from the Security section.
Choose your PIN, then save it.
On the same screen, you can replace a PIN that has already been set up.
Use «Delete PIN» when a PIN is set.
In this version of iOS, protection upon opening is handled by «Lock Notebook,» which uses your device’s authentication.
Your identity has been verified again.
Go back to «Me,» then «Security,» and turn off «Lock Notebook.».
Next, confirm your identity when the device prompts you to do so.
You keep protection monitoring.
The lock can be enabled or disabled in the security settings.
Deactivation requires re- authentication to prevent someone else from simply removing the protection.

The next time you use the service, log in again using the credentials for your Le Carnet account.
Your Notebook remains a personal space.
Security settings help protect access to the app on your device, while your profile contains information related to your account.
