Write to an entry.
Write down your thoughts, choose the mood that fits this moment, then finalize the entry before saving it to your Journal.
Start by what you want to keep.
An entry can be an idea, a decision, a thought, or simply a moment that you'd like to be able to look back on later.
You don't need to have everything planned out before you start writing. Start with the text. The tone, status, file, or additional functions come later.
Write at your own pace.
The «Write» tab is where you start to create a new entry in your Notebook.
Tap the "Write" tab in the app's navigation bar.
Use the «What do you want to post here?» field, then enter your text.
Select the mood that goes with this entry.
These features can be used if you wish and if your plan includes them.
The «Finalize Entry» screen opens before the entry is permanently saved.
Add a marker at that time.
Each entry can be associated with one of the five moods featured in *Le Carnet*.
Select this mood when it matches the moment you're recording.
A label available to describe your entry.
Pair this mood with the one that goes along with your words.
An additional state to preserve the context of the input.
Use this guide when it matches how you feel as you write.
The text remains central. The rest is optional.
You can edit your post before publishing it, depending on the features available in your plan.
Add an image
If your listing allows it, you can attach a photo to the listing before publishing it.
The photo will be saved along with the text when the post is published.
Request clarification
When Clara is available, you can ask her for clarification after you've started writing your text.
Clara is optional: your text remains in your own words.
Give your entryway the right reference points.
After clicking the first «Publish» button, Le Carnet opens the «Finalize Entry» screen.
The title is optional. The status and file then allow you to find and use the entry in whatever way suits you.
Once everything is correct, tap «Publish» again and wait for the upload to finish.
The entry then appears in the «Notebook» tab.
Three states for three intentions.
The status describes what you want to be able to do with this post after it is published.
Thought can continue
Select «Open» when you want to be able to add a follow-up to this thought later.
The entry is complete
«Closed» indicates that you consider this entry to be complete for now.
Would you like to come back here?
This status indicates your intention to review the entry. It does not, by itself, schedule a follow-up date.
Scheduling a review date is a separate action available from the entry menu when your plan allows it.
«Publish» means Save it to your Address Book.
In Le Carnet, the word «Publish» refers to the final saving of an entry in your personal space.
The post is not published on social media, and it is not sent to a recipient.
The «Publish» button does not make your text public. It simply confirms that it has been saved to your Journal.
«Draft Saved» is not yet a published post.
While you're writing, Le Carnet can save your work in progress on the device.
This protection helps minimize the loss of an unfinished text, but it does not replace the final publication of the entry.
Once you've finished writing your text, make sure it appears in «Notebook» after publication.
The draft remains linked to the device.
Don't rely on a local draft to automatically transfer a document to another device.
Before logging out or reinstalling, post anything you want to keep permanently.
Also, check any selected photos or text that hasn't been saved yet before exiting the app.
Close the keyboard does not publish anything.
When you're done entering text, use the control provided by the app to hide the keyboard and clear the screen.
This action affects only the keyboard. It does not post the entry and does not replace the final save.
To save your text permanently, continue until you reach the «Finalize Entry» screen, then confirm by clicking «Publish.».
Your entry is now in your Notebook.
Once published, you can find your entry in the Journal tab, view it, and use the actions available based on its status.
