Terms and conditions of use

1. Purpose
The present Terms and conditions of use (hereinafter referred to as the «TOU») define the conditions under which users access the platform. KharonBridge and use its digital services.
KharonBridge is a web platform that allows each user to create a personal memory space - called Memory Board - dedicated to the commemoration of lost loved ones, in an intimate, respectful and secure setting.
Any registration or use of the platform implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Legal status : company currently being set up within the European Union.
3. Platform access
Access to KharonBridge is open to all adults or minors with parental consent.
To use the service, you need to create a personal account.
Access to certain features is reserved for premium subscribers.
KharonBridge may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates or technical developments.
No compensation can be claimed in the event of temporary interruption of service.
4. Account creation and security
When registering, the user undertakes to provide accurate information and to maintain the confidentiality of his identifiers.
The user is solely responsible for any activity carried out from his account.
KharonBridge recommends the use of a strong and unique password.
Any suspicion of unauthorized access must be reported immediately to : [email protected]
5. Service description
5.1 Main features
KharonBridge offers its users :
The creation of a Memory Board personnel, A private space for contemplation and remembrance.
Writing and saving letters to the departed, can only be consulted by the user.
The planning of time capsules (deferred letters to be opened at a chosen date) - Coming soon.
The ignition of virtual candles symbolic (free or paying) - Coming soon.
The ability to add photos, videos and digital objects depending on the subscription chosen.
5.2 Available offers
Freemium version (free) :
Up to 2 letters saved.
3 elements (photo, video, digital object).
1 time capsule.
1 virtual candle offered after the first letter.
Premium version (€4.99/month) :
Unlimited letters, souvenirs and capsules.
Customizable themes (colors, backgrounds, fonts).
Adaptive emotional AI (“Bridge Guardian”) for symbolic accompaniment.
Advanced candles and interactions.
Functionalities may change at any time to improve the service.
6. Financial terms and conditions
The applicable prices are indicated in euros, all taxes included.
Payments are made via secure service providers (Stripe, PayPal or equivalent).
6.1 Subscription
The premium subscription is automatically renewed each month, unless cancelled before the expiry date.
Users can cancel their subscription at any time from their personal space.
No refund will be given for a period already started.
6.2 Microtransactions
Occasional purchases (virtual candles, commemorative prints) are also available.
Each transaction is final once confirmed by the user.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 KharonBridge content
All elements of the platform (text, code, visuals, logo, design, structure, databases) are the exclusive property of KharonBridge.
Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution or use is prohibited.
6.2 User content
All letters, images, videos and objects submitted by users are their property.
KharonBridge acts solely in its capacity as technical host, in accordance with the French law of June 21, 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN).
The user grants KharonBridge a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable technical license to host and display its content as part of the service.
7. Content protection and confidentiality
KharonBridge guarantees the absolute confidentiality of submitted content, its non-public indexation and its hosting in secure areas.
No human reading is performed, either by the team or by a third party.
Users retain full control over their content and can delete it at any time.
8. Liability
KharonBridge is committed to providing a secure service that complies with current technical and legal standards.
However, KharonBridge cannot be held liable in the following cases:
temporary interruption of service for maintenance or upgrading,
loss of data due to external failure (server breakdown, cyber-attack, force majeure),
misuse of the service or negligence on the part of the user.
Users remain solely responsible for the content they upload or send via the platform.
9. Moderation and prohibited content
KharonBridge applies automatic moderation to prevent the publication of content contrary to the law or human dignity.
The following in particular are prohibited:
hateful, defamatory, discriminatory or violent language,
apology for crime or terrorism,
pornographic, political or religious content,
misuse of the platform for commercial or advertising purposes.
KharonBridge reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in the event of non-compliance with these rules.
10. Termination and deletion of account
Users can delete their account at any time from their personal space.
This deletion will result in the permanent deletion of all data within 30 days.
KharonBridge may close an account in the event of :
non-compliance with these GCU,
illegal activity,
fraud, abuse or attempted piracy.
No refund or compensation is due in the event of closure for legitimate reasons.
11. Personal data
KharonBridge respects General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Information on the collection, processing and storage of personal data is described in the Privacy policy, accessible at any time from the site.

13. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These GCU are governed by the Portuguese law, unless otherwise stipulated.
Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution shall be submitted to the courts. courts having jurisdiction over KharonBridge's registered office, after an attempt at amicable resolution.

An answer will be given within 30 days.
15. Acceptance and modification of the GCU
Use of KharonBridge implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
KharonBridge reserves the right to modify at any time the terms of the GCU in order to adapt them to the evolution of the service or to the applicable legislation.
Users will be informed of any substantial modifications by e-mail or notification on the platform.
